I have been arranging music since my day's in the forces as a military musician and was lucky enough to get the odd arrangement performed by my band and a couple of others. Once I left the forces and joined my present brass band I kept the arranging going, although I had to learn how to arrange for just brass instruments and find out what brass band players are capable off (this happens to be quite a lot). I was arranging for my band and now and again my band gets guest players in to bolster our ranks or a guest conductor. I am in the very fortunate position in that my band play all my arrangements that I produce and they feature quite a lot on engagements and these guests kept asking me if they could buy a copy of this, or a copy of that. I quickly realised that bands out there were wanting my arrangements, so, after finding out about copyright and how to obtain it, I started self-publishing, and try to sell at what I hope are reasonable prices. All music and scores are printed on good quality, white 100gm paper, the scores are covered and bound with plastic combes. All music is sent to the buyer in bubble envelopes and sealed in plastic loc bags. This site is my own featuring some of my arrangements, there are also some on my Sibelius Music web site and at the moment three publishing companies are selling some of my work (see links). I hope that you enjoy your visit here, and, if there is any music that you would like arranging, please just get in touch and we can discuss your needs. Although I arrange mostly for Brass Band I can arrange for other ensembles as well. Contact details are on my contacts page. |
